On Monday I start school to get my paralegal certification. I got my books today, and still can’t get over that this is one of my required textbooks.

With my birthday coming up in January, there is still plenty of time to throw one of these birtday cakes together. Any volunteers?

On Election Night I called everyone I could think of who lived outside of DC, including my friend Andy, who’s voicemail I got. His reply goes well with these photos from that night.
3 years ago • 0 notesOne aspect of living in Washington, DC that I really enjoy is meeting people from bands that I’ve adored for years, and finding out they’re pretty much just normal people, like me.
Case in point, I stayed up all night chatting with a fellow at a small get together at my best friend’s house, only to find out upon leaving in the morning this guy was the bass player from Q and Not U. We are now good enough pals that we text each other on sleepless nights trying to convince the other to leave their house and come hang out at the others.
Earlier this afternoon I went to a particular coffee shop that I go to most Sunday mornings, and in walks Ian Svenonius (from Nation of Ulysses and the Make-Up)! I went up to him and talked to him about his interview with Calvin Johnson, which I’d stayed at work late the night before just to finish watching online. He was super nice, and even came up to me on his way out to say goodbye. I have to say, this pretty much made my day. This is part one of the interview I mentioned.
